Born in Milton, Canada. Lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
Melinda Josie is a Toronto-based artist and illustrator, and graduate of Sheridan College. Utilizing traditional mediums, Josie explores themes of fork lore and fantasy in the realms of everyday reality. Growing up in rural Northern Canada, Josie’s work recreates the natural surroundings that shaped her formative years. Josie has previously shown in several exhibitions at Magic Pony, including Cats are the New Bunnies (February 2006), Ilavska (February 2007), Mittenfists (August 2007) and Vesna Sontse (February 2008).
