Tibi Tibi Neuspiel

Born in Ottawa. Lives and works in Toronto, Canada.

Tibi Tibi Neuspiel began as a self-taught painter, before studying classical drawing and painting in Prague. After a four-year apprenticeship with a local sculptor, Neuspiel began taking interest in conceptual installation mediums. Drawing parallels between art and comedy, Neuspiel presents recognizable historical figures in unusual contexts, allowing the viewer to identify easily and examine further and also playing off of his fascination with timelessness, his pieces are archival in concept and form.

Tibi Tibi Neuspiel has exhibited at Narwhal Art Projects as a part of Stay Gold (2008) .
